Mastori’s

October 30, 2010

Truly the Disneyland of diners, Mastori’s is a sprawling complex of seemingly endless booths, counters and banquet rooms. You enter through a full bakery.

Mastori’s offers just about anything you could want, and more than you can eat. The menu has everything, and then some. Blueberry pancakes? Check. Hot roast beef with gravy sandwich? Check. Broiled Alaskan King Crab Legs ($43.95)? Check. Every table gets complimentary fresh bread from the onsite bakery. The portions are huge. I could only eat half of a Grilled Beef Ortega sandwich (roast beef, tomatoes, chillies, fried onions, cheddar cheese and horseradish sauce) in one sitting. My daughter’s spaghetti and meatballs – from the children’s menu – was enough for two adults. Mastori’s service is fast and friendly, even when crowded.

Not your traditional chrome diner, Mastori’s has a brick exterior. Unfortunately, it’s not open 24 hours – 2 am on weekends, 1 am weeknights.
