The COVID-19 pandemic affects every New Jersey community.
Many of the independently owned restaurants mapped on EthnicNJ.com are struggling to survive the economic impacts of the pandemic. Let’s find ways to support the local restaurants and restaurant workers who sustain the ethnic New Jersey we love!
First and foremost, follow public health guidelines to slow the spread of the virus.
We can’t eat out right now, but we can still order take-out, curbside pick up, or delivery from the local restaurants that remain open to feed our communities. Check online or call your favorite restaurant to see if they are open and when. Tip generously if you can. Purchase gift cards. Consider contributing to organizations and efforts that support restaurant workers who have lost their jobs. Some restaurants have launched funding campaigns to support their workers.
Once the public health crisis has passed, New Jersey’s restaurants will need our support more than ever. I look forward to seeing full tables and full employment at Jersey restaurants again. Together, we will get through this.
